I would like for everyone to take a moment to reflect on the man and the life of the man, Pastor David West from the class of 1970. David was well known on the track field and always looked so nice in his Knights of Melrose sweater. He was a warm and tenderhearted person who had a zeal for life, a passion for people, and a love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is gone but will not be forgotten.

Hello fellow Golden Wildcats, I just wanted to put my friend and ex-fellow band member on this wall. He was one of the coolest guys in the bad and it seemed effortless like he was born that way. Nick Weary passed away about a year and half ago leaving a daughter. We were friends and I will missed him R.I.P Nick (Trumpet).

I would like to commemorate one of my favorite teachers who passed away in August 13, 2000, Mrs. Gwendolyn W. Gholston. Mrs. Gholston was one of the most devout teachers I had ever met. It was truly a pleasure being in her last period class during my senior year. Also, I would like to commemorate Ms. Kimberli Nicol Yelvington who made her transition on November 24, 1990. I have known Kimberli since our elementary days at White Station Elementary School. Kimberli's had just been out of for a little over a year when she was found fatally shot behind Mt. Moriah East Baptist Church. Kimberli was a proud member of the prestigious Class of 1989. There were also other members of the Class of 1989 who met their ultimate fate: Mr. Kaminsky Brown, Mr. El Pedro Parker, and Mr. Stephen Smaw. If I forgot to commemorate anyone else who may have transitioned--please forgive me. Fellow Wildcats, just know that you will forever be in our hearts and minds.
